After 18 months of work establishing the foundation, on October 7, 2020, Red String was finally launched to the public. As a new nonprofit charitable foundation, the timing of the launch was made even more significant as many communities and people were struggling with the fallout from the Corona virus pandemic and economic crises.

For a wide variety of reasons, many spend the holidays alone. This is especially true for home-bound elderly adults. With the emphasis on families, exchanging gifts, and being with others, there are many who aren't as fortunate, and for them, the holidays can be an especially lonely and trying time. If you want to do something to give back, consider supporting a charitable organization this season.
