Why contribute to Red String?
Because we work with a variety of charities supporting a wide range of programs focusing on education, community support, and senior services, Red String is different than the typical nonprofit charity that usually focuses on a singular issue. This diversity allows us, and you, to not only help us solve a wide range of issues facing our neighborhoods and communities, but more importantly gives us a lot of flexibility to adapt to an ever changing world and focus our energy and investments to the areas with the greatest needs.
When you contribute, you will also have the ability to designate your contribution to one of our Focus Programs (Education, Community Based Services, and Senior Services) or to our General Grant Fund. Whether you donate $5.00 or more, you can be assured that your contributions will be used to make a real positive difference in the communities that we invest in.
* Become a UAIAI Member: If you donate $100 or more, you will automatically get an annual membership into our UAIAI Fan Club. As a UAIAI member, you will have the opportunity to participate in exclusive events, help us improve by giving us feedback, and provide recommendations of candidate charities that you would like us to consider for grants; if selected, this can leverage your giving to your favorite charity. Donations to Red String, a private foundation, are tax deductible up to 30% of adjusted gross income (AGI) for cash, and up to 20% of AGI for
appreciated securities, with a five-year carry forward. Please consult with your tax advisor about the deductibility of your contributions.
