Welcome to Red String
Thank you for visiting our website and welcome to Red String.
Red String Foundation was incorporated December 22, 2019 and approved as a new nonprofit public benefit corporation established under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code on May 6, 2020. The foundation's name is taken from the long held beliefs that a red string is a representation of protection, faith, good luck, strength, and connection. It is a reflection of who we are and what we aspire to become.
We believe that every life deserves to be happy and meaningful; that people can improve their own lives when provided with the necessary skills, knowledge, support, and access to resources; and that only together is anything possible.
Through our Focus Programs, we are working to help address issues in Children and Youth Education, Communities, and Senior Care. To accomplish this, we are creating powerful new partnerships with Industry and charities that will open new opportunities to make a positive difference in the communities, charities, and livelihoods that we invest in. Please read about our Programs and Grants.
We hope you consider becoming part of Red String's story and let us become part of yours. Join Us today.
We have just completed our first set of 2021 grants which included past partner charities as well as new partners. We are planning two additional grant cycles for July and during the Holiday Season. Learn more at our partner charity webpage.
Follow Our Story:
The yarn we shall weave
begins with a thread,
the ending of which
has yet to be said,
and when it will,
I have not a clue,
but I'm not scared
now that you're with me,
and I'm with you.
Our work continues into 2021 with the distribution of our first set of 2021 grants. We continue to extend our reach, deepen our relationships, and seek making greater impacts. We are excited to welcome our new partners:
Jubilee Reach (Bellevue, WA): Community
Northwest Education Access (Seattle, WA): Education
Kimochi, Inc (San Francisco, CA): Elderly Services
As well as a grant to one of our current partners, Foodshift located in Emeryville, CA. We are also expecting matching funds from Boeing to be distributed at the beginning of the 3Q to current partners Wrap the Kids, J-Sei, United Playaz, Tomodachi Lunch Program, and Foodshift.
We added a new Red String media archive. Click here to visit.
We are looking forward to the road ahead and will continue to keep you updated on our progress through our website and on social media. Please follow us:
