Welcome to Red String
Thank you for visiting our website and welcome to Red String.
Red String Foundation was incorporated December 22, 2019 and approved as a new nonprofit public benefit corporation established under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code on May 6, 2020. The foundation's name is taken from the long held beliefs that a red string is a representation of protection, faith, good luck, strength, and connection. It is a reflection of who we are and what we aspire to become.
We believe that every life deserves to be happy and meaningful; that people can improve their own lives when provided with the necessary skills, knowledge, support, and access to resources; and that only together is anything possible.
Through our Focus Programs, we are working to help address issues in Children and Youth Education, Communities, and Senior Care. To accomplish this, we are creating powerful new partnerships with Industry and charities that will open new opportunities to make a positive difference in the communities, charities, and livelihoods that we invest in. Please read about our Programs and Grants.
We hope you consider becoming part of Red String's story and let us become part of yours. Join Us today.
We were excited to complete our first set of grants last August and provide additional support to several of our partners during the Holidays: PartnerCharities
In 2021, we are planning two grant cycles in April and July, as well as, again, providing help during the Holidays.
Follow Our Story:
The yarn we shall weave
begins with a thread,
the ending of which
has yet to be said,
and when it will,
I have not a clue,
but I'm not scared
now that you're with me,
and I'm with you.
Welcome 2021. To all our supporters, thank you. We never could have accomplished so much in 2020 without you, and we are looking forward to working together to do bigger, better in 2021. In 2020, our grants helped,
Provided over 60 care packages and 1,500 meals to families in need, home-bound elderly adults, and homeless persons;
Sponsored over 35 families during the Holidays and gave Christmas gifts to children from families who are struggling financially;
Delivered over 250 PPE masks to charities working on the front lines;
Recovered over 1,000 pounds of food, delivered to local food banks;
Expanded several of our partner's capabilities and services; and
Created internships for young people facing barriers to entry into the job market.
As we begin our second year, we are looking forward to continuing and expanding the work we started in 2020. Beyond building upon our partnerships, giving hope to the lives and livelihoods within the communities that we invest in, and nurturing relationships with all our stakeholders, we will also be working to create our own programs, starting with Connections, an education focused program that will offer valuable resources and content to students to help them bridge the gap between academics, life skills, and potential career paths.
