By becoming and registering as a Red String member, you get additional access to information, events, image galleries, and back issues of our Red String Connect magazine.

The UAIAI official logo is a heart meaning that we become one through charity; a sprout meaning that with you including our supporters and partner charities we grow, blossom, and bring joy; and finally, the joining of the two meaning together we rise.

Because Red String's objectives and focus cover a diverse set of issues, it is different than the typical nonprofit charity that usually focuses on a singular issue. This diversity allows us and you to not only provide support to a wide range of issues facing our neighborhoods and communities, but more importantly allows us a lot of flexibility to adapt to an ever-changing world and focus our grant dollars to areas needing the most help. As a member, you will have the opportunity to get involved and be part of our operations (see benefits). You will also get the exclusive opportunities to participate in fan events and provide us recommendations for candidate charities that you would like us to consider for grants. If selected, this can leverage your giving to your favorite charity.

Qualifying as a Red String member is simple. All you have to do is to give a tax-deductible donation of $100 or more to Red String, or participate in one of our events, or volunteer at one of our volunteering opportunities and you will automatically become a member.

Yes. Through Paypal donate, we accept all major credit cards, debit cards, and, of course, if you already have a Paypal account, through any one of your linked payment methods.

We do not have a set expiration date. Our goal is that all our members remain an active and ardent supporter of Red String.

Yes. You are welcome to donate any amount to Red String as often as you like and we would greatly appreciate it. The UAIAI membership is a benefit we offer as a token of our appreciation and love we have for you.

Yes. Paypal Donate has the capability to set up a recurring donation. It is also a great way to ensure your UAIAI membership doesn't lapse.

Yes. Most, if not all, of your donations to Red String, a private foundation, are deductible up to 30% of adjusted gross income (AGI) for cash, and up to 20% of AGI for appreciated securities, with a five-year carry forward. Please consult your tax advisor for specific tax advice.

Benefits include online access to member only information and merchandise, participation opportunities to Red String fan events, ability to suggest fundraising ideas and recommend charity organizations you would like Red String to consider for grants, and other online/offline event benefits.
